New song on the Jimmy Fallon show?

The Verve frontman returns to the States after a three-year absence for two shows on the East Coast.

Richard Ashcroft’s first solo album in four years – United Nation Of Sound – drops March 22 on Razor & Tie. In celebration of the new release, Ashcroft will appear on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” the evening of the album’s arrival. He’ll perform his new single, “Are You Ready?” with the show’s house band, The Roots, and a new song that will appear exclusively on the late night talk show.

Along with the TV appearance, Ashcroft has lined up a couple of East Coast gigs, playing New York City’s Bowery Ballroom March 23 followed by a performance at Boston’s Villa Victoria Center For The Arts March 24 as part of the Jim Beam Live Music Series. The dates mark the first time Ashcroft has performed in the United States since 2008.

Note: In regards to the Jimmy Fallon show performance, a new song could mean a song from the United Nations of Sound album (otherwise unknown to US audience per the album release that same day), a new song, or an older song. The Adjustment Bureau opens in March, so if it is a new song, perhaps "Future's Bright" could be performed.
